Humm... I can't seem to find a book by Wilson Asheroft. I suggest that all should read the book first. You might find out what the weird phrase meant.
As for the picture, “the eye” is believed in many religions a gateway to the soul. It is also believed that there, in everyone, is a third eye. Some think that it is hidden on your forehead, other think that is hidden in the palm of your hand. (The third eye is drawn on the dollar bill!)
