First of all, dreams involving your friends are very common and can be interpreted many ways. They could symbolize emotions and fears you have about that person in the waking ours or they may also be your mind projecting parts of yourself onto an image of your friend so you have an easier time dealing with a problem. In other words, your dream friend may represent your alter ego, or the part of yourself that you keep hidden in your waking life. Ask yourself, what is your friend doing in your dream that you may be repressing in life?

Well, dreams set at night are common as night is usually a symbol of your unconcious. If you're driving, walking, sailing or journeying anywhere at night, this is probably you journeying into the dark side of your personality. Many dreams that occur in a night may scare you-- you are facing a part of yourself that you usually keep buried. Look to other symbols in your dream for a more detailed picture, i.e. was their moonlight or stars in the night sky? How were you feeling during this dream? Were you frightened or were you peaceful? Jung says that Blue has a positive meaning of nobility or tranquillity and a negatave meaning of depression. Examine the other symbols in your dream to see where the color fits in.

If you see your own face in a dream, it may mean you ready to look at yourself and see who you truly are. If something is wrong with your face, you may be having a hard time accepting something. If you saw someone else's face, think about what your relationship is to that person and what you suspect they are hiding from you. If you are 'facing' something in your dream, ask yourself how your feeling when you face it look up that symbol.

To hair or not to hair? Lots of hair may symbolize virility, if you dream of cutting your hair, your subconscious may be cutting off your virility. Seing someone or something with long matted hair or long white hair signifies wisdom. If you dream you're bald or lose your hair entirely, you may be working through fears of getting old or being unwanted.

Ah, the mystery of death! It is probably our greatest fear and is very common to dream about. This is a long one, so get ready... Freud has a rule about figuring out what the dead person represents to you. If there is no mention, or you do not realize that the person in the dream is dead until you wake from your dream, then the dead person is really reflection of you. If you talk to the dead person and know that they are dead, then the person who is dead is probably actually that person to you. If the dead person or animal in your dream is alive in real life, then you are probably worrying about their health and safety. If the dead person you dream about is actually dead, then you are probably working through your projection about what they would think about your current situation. For example, if in real life you're dating someone new, you might be subconciously wondering what your mother would think about them if she were still alive. You're getting the answer in your dream. Traditionalists would say that the spirit of your mother is actually speaking to you, it's your choice what you believe, but either way you should listen.

Dreaming of a sibling is pretty normal. However, if one of your siblings is missing in a dream, or a sibling that you don't have in the waking hours appears in a dream, you may want to read on. If you are aware in your dream that a brother or sister is missing, then you may want to look at your perceptions of your family as a whole. Are you fighting a lot? Are you out of communication? If you become close to a classmate, co-worker or friend, they will sometimes show up as a sibling in your dream. If you feel comfortable with them there in the dream, then it is positive. If their presence makes you uncomfortable, you may subconciously feel too close to that person in real life.

Much like other vehicles, dreaming of seeing a car or riding in a car may be your subconcious trying to control a situation. Look at the other symbols in your dream, i.e. where are you driving to? Who are you driving with? And what is happening while you are driving to find out what you are trying to control. What color is the car? Try a symbol search on the color to reveal more.

Ah, blood. Believe it or not, seeing blood in your dreams is fairly common and usually relates to your subconcious fears. If dream of seeing blood stains, you may be havinga tough time with an enemy in business right now. If you are actually bleeding, try to stay out of confrontations with family and friends. The blood may not be literal but rather, signify a state of 'bleeding' emotions. If the blood is seen as a transfusion, your troubles will not be long lasting.

The meaning of seeing a cave in your dream is closely tied to your unconscience. Think about the emotions you felt about the cave. Was it comforting or a protection from some threat? That could be exactly what a retreat into yourself would bring as well.

A dream of the dark usually means that you are feeling a loss of control of your temper about a particular problem. If you are lost and cannot find someone in the dark, then this means that someone may try to provoke you. Your subconcious may be telling you to do everything you can to not let them get to you.

A running dream is basically a dream of escaping a certain situation, person, or thing. If you succeed in running away from, or elude a pursuer, then you will be able to change those things in your life that has you 'on the run'. If you dream of the desire to run but cannot get your feet to obey it shows a lack of self-confidence and perseverance on your part. Try sticking to your guns and see how much your life will change.

Hands! Hands may represent your abilities in your dreams, most commonly social. Ask yourself what your hand is doing for a clue to what abilities you feel you need to use right now. Are you healing, hitting, playing music? Are you washing your hands? If so, what are you feeling guilty about? Traditionally, if your hands are tied, handcuffed or bound in any way, you will have difficulty in completing something that you have begun. You may want to look at what is preventing you from doing what you know you should be doing and try to change it. If your hands are severed or injured, you may strongly want to think about this. Old-school dream theorists believe that if you see blood on your hands this means you will feel guilty if you do not aid a person for whom you could help better their life. If you are talking about someone else's hands, you may be projecting feelings of guilt about your relationship with them.

In general, dogs symbolize loyalty. If you dream of your own dog, you may receive a favor from a friend. If you are attacked by a dog in your dream then your loyalty may be tested by someone who doesn't know you very well. If you manage to kill the dog or escape with no injuries then this will mean that you've subconciously found the strength to escape from that person. To see someone else kill the dog means you will have a staunch supporter. Remember that dogs, like other animals in your dreams may also represent a part of you.

Ah, yes... the chase. If you see someone being chased, or if you are actually chasing something or someone, you must look at your feelings during it. If fear is involved, you should look at the meaning of what your are chasing to understand why you are afraid of it. If you are chasing in a friendly way, then you are probably embracing whatever you are chasing. If you are being chased or are chasing an animal, the animal probably represents some repressed emotion or instinct. As long as you keep it buried in your unconscious they may continue to disturb you. Face up to whatever it is.

The devil as a symbol represents your perception of evil in all its forms. If you dream of the devil surrounded by instruments of punishment, or actually punishing you, then the dream is telling you that the time has come to clear your mind and your consciousness of a guilty secret you are holding onto. If you successfully fight him off, then you will short-circuit those who mean you harm. If he speaks to you, you may be in for great temptations, which you will find hard to resist.
