Derek, Not that I think you will read this but I have a pretty simple theory, first since you and Adam are twins you have a special connection. I believe Adam is showing up to warn you about something. What ever was bothering him or disturbing or even killed him, you are close to or he wants you to help find what happened to him and/or he is warning you. I think the eye symbol that you saw in your dreams is what lead you to the book. To go to the apartment and search for something, anything. I agree that you should see what is actually on that page. I think that the reason you were looking for your friends at the party and why Jason turned into Adam is because what ever maybe happening you need or have no choice but to do it alone. I don't what to think about the midget, that's just strange.
