One of my friends who spends a lot of time here commented that I needed to come and look over what was going on at the board, and I have been resisting commentary until now, yup, this is about seven days after the fact, but there is a point to be made. My virgin post is going to get me flamed, I just know it.
Dr. Scienceguy isn't stupid, nor is he ignorant to what anyone here is thinking. He has helped to point out something to all of you, and I thought that enough of you missed it that it needed to be spelled out for you.
He wrote a completely nonsensical post having to do with baloney, and water pistols, and broom riding. He also talked about witches not liking water, and dropping houses on people...and what happened?
How many people took it seriously?
How many people got the joke, and laughed about it?
How many people got the joke and added to it's humor?
How many people kept on flaming?
You all know who you are.
Blame it on the times if you will. Blame it on the fact that some pagans constantly hear stupidity all around them reguarding their studies and their beliefs. But you can't blame it on that indefinately, the blanket statement only covers so much.
The truth is that some Pagans are no different from the Christians that they blame their problems on. ^gasp!^ Flaming me for saying that will only prove my point.
People carry their hatreds with them like precious things, because it gives them a reason to blame other people for things they should be blaming on themselves. Scapegoating is becoming an Art among people, the legal system, the religious institution, (whichever one you prefer) and not to mention many others.
All for now.
