hello, My name is Gabriel. there are essential problems with some of the conclusions that freaky links has come to in parts of its stories. this is not exactly a bad thing if the point is to entertain, however, reaching conclusions off of small assumptions and lack of complete histories pertaining to the subject can be bad. i'm a history and literature major, and am included in national honor societies in regards to both and i do love much of what you do, but one must try to be accurate. For instance taking the stance in the recent vampire article that all monsters or wrong doers of history are all essentially evil is a misnomer. Loki, as an example is both a monster, a giant, a god, a brother, and helper of the gods of norse mythology. He tends to fall towards evil, but flips back to good once in awhile. Also, his orgins may not be from evil, considering certain arguments that the nymphilites(or giants) of the old testament may have spread over the earth giving birth to these monsters, giants origins. Nymphilites(angel and human mix)is not essecially evil. Even Bricriu, a welsh and keltic, mischief(evil) doer had his good moments. Also, some of the proofs or links in the shadow vampire story wer peculiar and not complet. as an avid reader you should know to look beyond the surface past the obivous, past the subtle and finally to a deeper layer. a jesuit priest, hearing these stories and the fact the stories have stayed alive says little of the truth of the stories. just because this area of the phillipines has become catholic does not mean the stories or traditions would be destroyed. christmas, all saints day and many other christian holidays and traditions were originally pagan. the catholic church many times assimilates rather than destroys or overtakes. their sneeky that way. anyway, i do enjoy reading some of your ideas and concepts that seem to fall into your lap. i would be pleased to help with better background data for you if you think it might help or make the stories more plausible. being a historian, means that i have to try to delve to the truth behind the words of ancient peoples. and trust me the stories ive read in ancient europe and beyond would raise the hair on anybodies back. have fun and keep pushing the envelop. gabiel sorry, about spelling errors and grammar, speed is the better part of ..well.. almost anything. p.s. kamakaze don't dive bomb islands usually, mostly just ship because of plausible damage. you may want to look into the validity of the sergants accounts.
