WHAT IS GMD STUDIOS?
Most companies love to talk about themselves. Or, at the very least, would have developed a simple response after 10 years 11 years 12 years to the question of what they were.
Oh, no ... not us. As an experimental firm, we've made it a habit to be the odd duck in almost any room. It is hard to convey to people that we are integrationists as it begs the question of what we are integrating.
At least fewer people think of us as "web designers" (although we've done a fair share of that over the years as well), which is part of the reason we use the word "Studios" in our name. It is fairer to say we're an interactive studio, as everything we do is suffused with a fascination for communities and a long-held belief that the Web was a conversational experience.
But because this means we think about brands as conversations, those conversations aren't contained by the Web: they are augmented by it. And they spill out into or integrate with events and products in the physical world, and tangible media like magazines, and non-tangible media like music and movies and television.
We engineer experiences.
