FACTS: APPROACH

At GMD Studios, our work has always acknowledged that experiences are the cultural currency of communities. Those experiences are frequently the sum impact of a broad variety of media and interactions, digital and physical, each of which can be crafted in ways that help produce superior experiences. That creation of cultural capital through experience design has knowable, reproducible and measurable implications.

Our media-agnostic perspective is what people value the most in our work, whether they are players, readers, viewers or customers. It is also what clients and collaborators value the most in working with our experimental lab process to identify new strategies for accomplishing familiar goals. As producers of these kinds of experiences, you might find us making films, developing games, publishing content, coding software, or staging live events. To us, each of those tasks are natural tactical options when you're designing experiences.

Over our long history, GMD Studios' own brands have included the revenue-sharing analysis community ReveNews, a search engine positioning tool called Rank This!, and the software tool publisher Radiation. Our entertainment brands have included the independent film news hub indieWIRE, the acclaimed feature film "Nothing So Strange," and an immersive narrative serial entitled "Eldritch Errors".

We've also collaborated on national and international projects with hundreds of clients in industries ranging from automotive (Ford, GM, Audi) to broadcasting (PBS, Fox Television), and from advertising agencies (Weiden+Kennedy, JWT, Campbell-Ewald) to not-for-profits (Web Lab, Creative Capital).
